Everyone is welcome to volunteer at Heritage Acres.
Volunteering at Heritage Acres allows you to use your skills for the benefit of the community by taking part in a variety of different projects around the site. It’s a great way to meet new people, learn new skills and learn about your local history.

We’re looking for people interested in:
Woodworking
Machining
Blacksmithing/ Foundry Work
Event Planning
Landscaping / Gardening
Painting
Museum cataloging work
Administration and office work
Membership
We are run by the Saanich Historical Artifacts Society (SHAS) as a Not-for-Profit Registered Society. All of our volunteers are members of SHAS. Your membership fee ($40 a year individual, $55 a year family) goes towards the running costs of Heritage Acres.
